Have You Ever Needed An Attorney?
I have never had an attorney before. I had never really considered even hiring one previous to this. I had never even been in a court room previous to this. With that said, there are some circumstances that you can do nothing about.
I spoke with a local business that told me that they would help me to fix up my home to sell it. I ended up paying them before any of the services started. The inside of the house was fine for the most part, but a lot of work had to be done in the yard to get it ready to sell. They agreed to start the work while I was on vacation for a short week.
I was visiting some family on the other side of the United States. I came back home to find they they had torn up both of my lawns completely, complete with a note that was asking me to up my payment. The yard did not need to be torn up, which really upset me.
I had already given them thousands of dollars and they were obviously not living up to the contract After having a talk with several Pittsburgh attorneys in the local area, they told me the options that were in front of me. I informed the company that I was looking into suing them, and they immediately started to become more cooperative. They knew that they had messed up, and were going to be finishing for the originally agreed upon price.
I never thought that I would need their services, but in the end it was the best decision that I ever made. I would recommend to any of my friends that they take a similar path if they are ever put in a situation like the one that I was in. Sometimes a strong hand is the best bet to help you get what you want.
